I have been keeping busy in the U.S.
As always I spend the vast majority of my time living life and not writing about it. A lot has gone on during my trip back to the states. I saw the vast majority of my family; everyone with the exception of one of my California brothers. I saw my nephew get married and I celebrated with my sister on her birthday. Now I am waiting in the Quad City Airport. I missed my first flight, but hopefully I will be able to get on the next one. I am heading out to California. I hope to see the sites and have a good time before I get on board for that long long flight over the Pacific Ocean.

The pictures below are from my quick trip down to Columbia Missouri. I got the chance to visit an old college friend. We hung out, went swimming in lakes and quarries and did some camping. Most of the pictures are from my time on Mark Twain Lake.

CHICAGO !!!!!

Due to some unforeseen Airline problems, I spent my first few days in Chicago, IL. I love this city. It is beautiful, busy, eclectic, and yet profoundly Midwestern. The people are not as pompous or pretentious as many of their costal-big-city contemporaries. The city also has great architecture. It ranges from 1930's Art Deco masterpieces by greats like Frank Lloyd Wright to the tallest building in North America, the Sears Tower.
