Surviving the Storm

I understand that with all that is going on in New Orleans, friends back home have not heard much about our storm. There seldom is any decent world news back in the states. Well the typhoon is over and I managed to survive without any problems. It was a little more scary then I had made it sound like on the day I made my last post to this blog. The last typhoon was mild in comparison. When I left the internet cafe to head home I was astounded by the winds. I was really afraid that something would fall on me. I made it home soaking wet and happy to be there. I did end up going out again. It was an adventure. I spent my "Ty fun day" (what my fellow foreigners call the day off work, due to weather) watching the first season of the Sopranos and watching things fly by my window.

Sorry you feel the the US is "bad" and no "decent news" ever comes from the states. I love it here and hope anyone who does not... will leave it for the "promised land that they are looking for.."
